The Christmas Puppy

Chapter 1:

The Beginning of an Adventure

Once upon a time there was a land called Christmas Island where Santa lived with his trusty elves and reindeer. One day Santa started feeling lonely, so he went out on a quest to find a companion.

Meanwhile, in New York there was a puppy named Mckenna. Mckenna had red fur and blue eyes and loved milk and cookies. She looked two months old (but no one really knew) and lived in a pet shop on Greenwald Street called Nora’s Pets. She was like a puppy Santa.

Back at Christmas Island, Santa was getting ready to travel all over the world to find a buddy who could accompany him through boring sleigh rides, help him eat and drink all the snacks that families all over the world left out (he often had stomach aches) and most importantly, be Santa’s friend. After two long hours his sleigh was packed with things he would need to make his journey across the world, his elfone (special devices that Santa and the elves communicated with,) snacks, his domestic ID card for shopping and such, and of course, his money (for getting his buddy, of course.)

Santa got into his sleigh and set off for New York City.

Mckenna was a peculiar little pup, she never did any horseplay like the other pups, instead she played “roll the ball” with the pups and every Christmas all the pets in the shelter got gifts with tags that said” from McKenna, the Santa pup”. The pet shelter owners were astonished! From the first Christmas this happened they knew Mckenna was a special pup, just waiting for the perfect owner.

Santas journey to New York was less than perfect, he had to use his elfone twice, ate all of his snacks, until finally he arrived in New York! He landed his sleigh in a building on Greenwald Street, which, as luck would have it, was the same street as Mckenna. Santa got out his elfone, ID, and money, then set off down the street to find the perfect buddy.

Mckenna was playing “roll the ball” with the puppy's when a loud knock hit the door. They were terrified! (The puppy's, not the owners) Nora, (The CEO) answered the door. Mckenna heard a jolly voice and the occasional jingling of money. Nora welcomed the stranger into the shelter and started showing them around. When the stranger got to the puppies, they were amazed! It was a man with a white beard and a red coat, he had blue eyes and smelled like cookies. Yep, you guessed it, Santa!

Santa started examining the puppy's one by one till he finally got to Mckenna. Santa stopped, he picked up Mckenna and was surprised to see that she had blue eyes just like him. Santa petted her and played with her for about 1-2 minutes.

Then finally he decided, he said to Nora, "I'll take this one!”

Nora told Santa that her name was Mckenna and that she was a very gentle and special pup. They let Mckenna go play while they sorted out the paper work. Mckenna could not stop jumping with excitement! After what seemed like 100 hours, the paper work was sorted and Mckenna was going to her new home on Christmas Island.

Chapter 2:
The Beginning of an Adventure

McKenna hopped up into the sleigh and patiently waited for Santa. Santa got into the sleigh and started it up. The reindeer hovered off the ground, then stopped. Santa was mumbling something about an elfone and pulled out a strange looking phone. It had long pointy ears at the top and was yellow.

He pressed a button and the phone started dialing. They waited until a squeaky voice answered the phone, "This is Alexandra speaking, what's the matter?” said Alexandra.

"We've had a little problem with the reindeer,” said Santa. “We?” said Alexandra. “Oh right, I forgot to tell you that I've found the perfect pup, her name is Mckenna and she is very sweet,” said Santa. ”Awwwwww, she sounds so cute!” said Alexandra. "Yes, she is very cute, now let's talk about the reindeer,” said Santa.

“Oh of course, what's wrong with the reindeer?” said Alexandra. “They aren't flying,” said Santa. “Hmmm I don't know what could have caused that, check and see if there's something wrong with the magic bells,” said Alexandra. Santa got out of the sleigh and took a look at the magic bells then he said,” yep, the bells aren't sparkling,” said Santa. “Oh no, you won't be able to lift off until they sparkle again, the fastest we can get a repair team out there is Monday.”

"I'm afraid you will have to spend some time in New York,” said Alexandra worriedly.

“Alright, I'll see if I can find a hotel that allows dogs, bye Alexandra,” said Santa. “Bye” said Alexandra. Then he hung up.
